Gday,
Just looking to get some info on the differences between a MY21 and MY22 (and above) R line Passat wagon. As far as I can see it seems to only be a DAB+ receiver and an upgrade of speakers from 8 to 12 with a 700W amp. Anyone have any info on whether the sound system difference is noticeable to the ears, notwithstanding the lack of DAB+?
Any other differences in the cars between MY's?
Had a MY13 Passat Tdi Highline from new and was one of the best cars we had, but had to see it a few years ago due to needing a 7 seat SUV. Looking forward to getting back into a newer Passat wagon again now.
Thanks
Nothing wrong with a Passat Wagon!!!
Your reference to a VW Passat R Line is quite vague though...
I can only assume you are referring to a 206TSI R-Line (or are you indeed just making reference to a base model with an Optional R-Line Package)???
Assuming the 206TSI R-Line, they were not available in Australia when the update / facelift model was introduced in MY20.
But was available from September 2021 as an MY22.
There was plenty of difference with the update / facelift model, such as dropping the Sedan and introducing a TSI motor to the Alltrack for the first time.
Once again on the assumption you are talking about the 206TSI R-Line, it comes with DAB+ digital radio and Harman Kardon premium sound system, 10+1 speaker with subwoofer / sound system with 700 W total power output and a digital 16-channel amplifier.
The 206TSI R-Line is all about that engine and driveline package!!!
