Did you ever get this coded?
Hello,
I own a 2011 Passat B7 Sedan with a 2.0 TDI 125KW engine (Engine Code CFGB) and Highline trim, built 2011, first registered in 2012.
Thank you for accepting me into this forum.
I look forward to learn from you guys, share my feedback and hopefully help someone else.
I recently installed a steering wheel with paddle shifters in my Passat. There's a helpful video demonstrating the installation process for the same car model and year (TDI 2.0 2012), using VCDS to make the necessary changes.
You can watch the tutorial here: Retrofitting a DSG Paddle Shift steering wheel in a 2012 Passat TDI - YouTube
Installing the wheel was straightforward; I acquired the special 12-point Torx M12, a torque wrench, and some lock glue. The process went smoothly.
However, to make the paddle shifters functional, coding is required. I approached the dealership for coding assistance, but they were unable to help.
I'm seeking recommendations for someone with VCDS who can assist with the coding. I'm willing to visit and, of course, pay for the service.
I'm located in North Shore Sydney but am willing to drive.
Thank you,
Marco

Yes, I got it coded.
You’ll need VCDS - just check with shops that handle ECU repairs or VW specialists. Avoid going to Volkswagen directly; they typically can’t assist with this.
I highly recommend it! I use the paddles every day, especially when I want to downshift.
Go for it!
