I've owned VWs and AUDIs for over 10 years and like to fix small things when I can or when mechanics don't seem to be able to. I worked in technical fields for a while so I feel OK having a go.

Welcome to the Forum. Pleased to see another owner prepared to repair & service their cars. Three things are needed, to have an interest in your car, 2 To obtain the best information preferably factory information, 3 be prepared to spend the necessary money on tools or the ability to make your own special tools.
Understand how it works, troubleshoot logically BEFORE replacing parts.
