Hi. I'm from Brisbane and the owner of a Tiguan purchased new in 2011. It's my second VW, the first was a 1960's Variant purchased from a wrecker who had assembled it himself about 1969 (one of the wheels, stub axle and all, came off while travelling along the Wakehurst Parkway Sydney). Just completed a trip around Australia in the Tiguan and the only problem was the A/C gave up around Lake Argyle area. VW dealer in Brisbane later confirmed that the compressor needed replacement. So $1,600 later with no help from VW as it was 3 1/2 years old then the Tiguan is going strong with 100,000 on the clock.
