    Skoda Octavia vRS 2012 Intro

Been searching for solutions to a stutter in light-medium acceleration with a Superchips Bluefin tune loaded, looking like coil packs/diverter valve are first suspects....but....issue is not apparent on stock tune.

So if anyone in SE Melbourne wants to help me out with a VCDS log, I'm all ears!

How many km's on the engine? Fairly certain it will be your coil packs. Given your car is a 2012 model, the diverter valve will be (should be) the newer "Revision D" type which are very reliable.

15,000 km and plugs never removed since new. Problem is only evident under light to half load ie accelerating briskly but not fast and only when bluefin tune active. The tune makes a huge difference to power delivery, in fact keeping traction becomes an issue, but everyday driveability is compromised by this acceleration stutter. Good to know the diverter valve is dependable. So Google leads me to the coil packs or intake manifold air flaps. Keen to see if VCDS shows misfires because that's what it feels like..

I'm over in the west if you wanna make the trip mate. Otherwise have a look in the VCDS users thread to see if there is anyone nearby to give you a hand.

My stock ignition coils were starting to lightly misfire at about 13,000km (and about 18months old). I bought a set of the replacement red top ignition coils (BMR Autowerks in Sydney sell them for a decent price) and they have been fine so far (car is currently on 24,000km so ive done about 10-11,000km on the new coils) with no misfires.

You were on the money, new red top coils from BMR and a set of BKR7E plugs and she's right. The only hesitation now appears to be a grab for traction.
