    Returning newbie

    Hi all,

Returning newbie here from quite a few years back when living in Sydney. Back home in Melbourne now.

Owned a Polo GTI back then. The most unreliable, pain in the ass car I’ve ever owned. And never loved a car more, sure do miss that little thing.

Work in the motor industry with VW but not exclusively (not a salesman), and looking to get back into a VW in the real near future.

Look forward to contributing here once again!

    Welcome back!

What car are you looking at this time around?

Sounds like you may have had one of the twin-chargers with DSG....

Thanks Tigger. And yes sure was, I knew a few people here who all had them also. Some never had a single issue, others just like mine. Luck of the draw I guess, but I still miss the thing, such good fun. In a Mazda now. Dependable, reliable and yet it has no soul, time for a change.

Most likely a Golf GTI this time or stretch to the R if can convince partner of it.

100% agree about Mazda / Toyota are in the same basket of being whitegoods on wheels.

Hopefully you have better luck this time around
