Alrighty all... I’m Barry Scottish guy been here few years , bought my R36 into the start of the year. It’s now due a service & I was looking for some pointers on a cheap reputable place around Melbourne that’s not gonna skin me.

Hi Barry & welcome. There are plenty of VW specialist mechanics in Melbourne so it shouldn't be too hard to find somewhere close to where to live.

Just type in VW Mechanic Melbourne into Google and you will see a bunch of options with good ratings scattered around Melbourne.
