Possible new purchaser! Polo GTI 9N

    Hi guys.

I am looking into buying a 9N Polo GTI, coming from currently owning 2 Honda Preludes.

I was actually looking at getting a Honda S2000, however with my current age and having driven quite a few of my friends S2000 within the WA Honda community, I just cant really see myself driving something so uncomfortable.

I was looking at getting something that I could drive to work and back, that my girlfriend can drive, and also something that we can both drive long distance as well.

The one that I am looking at, is a 2006 GTI in reflex silver, with an APR chip. 101,000 odd kms on the clock.

I took it for a test drive and as it didnt really feel as fast as what I thought (could either not have a chip as the dealer says, or maybe the tune is set to stock...?), it was torquey enough for me to be won over.

Is there anything else that I should really look at? I have done quite a lot of reading about the car, and I am definitely impressed at what people have said about it. I am really looking forward to having something reliable.

    Thank you for reading!

If you get it logged, you can see how much boost it is making for sure.

Hmm yeah. I might look into that thanks Gavin.

I'm assuming there's not much of a Polo craze here in WA either? Never seen any GTI's here hah!

    Hi ZantetsukenJ,
There have been a few modded GTI's over here in the last few years although I think most of the owners have moved on or upgraded.

WA German Cay Day coming up next weekend - check out the events section!

Yeah, I haven't really seen too many GTI's around the place, especially Polo's. Hopefully if the dealership is willing to make a good deal on the Polo, I will have it by next week. Hah.

    Will definitely have a look!
