(NSW) - New (VW Aus company demo) 2013 MY14 GTi MKVII Manual - Odometer issue

Hey All,

Just bought a GTi as above in Carbon Steel; LOVE this car! My god what a pleasure to drive. The girlfriend is jealous of my new found love

Still under manufacturer warranty and has done a bit over 5k kms, was a company vehicle for VW Australia.

Had one small issue this morning while driving to work. Cruising along at just under 100 km/h and the Odometer value disappeared and was replaced with a picture of two cars facing each other with an exclamation mark separating them.
I looked through the manual and there are no warning lamps in there that relate..
I'll be taking it to the dealer on Friday for the detail so will get the service centre to look for errors then, but has anyone seen this before?

Welcome. Your car must have the driver assistant package? That symbol means your are driving to close to the car in front and it is warning you to back off.

So my car was telling me to stop being a jerk on my race to work.
Seems I definitely have some manual perusing to do.

Any opinions on chipping these? Speaking to European Autotech near me it seems like a good idea. But then there's the hassle with having it removed for dealer trips etc.
They're an APR shop.
