Hello Everyone
Very new here (reside in Northern Tasmania). I am reasonably conversant with BMW tech but totally new here to VW tech but want to learn.
My wife has Golf Mk 7 90TSI and I have just bought a 2010 POLO 6R TDI for my daughter.
My immediate problem to solve is Daytime Running lights (POLO 6R 2010) which the manual refers to but I cant find anyway way to make them work. (tried the Indicator/Headlight Flash/Ignition method but no result). How do I turn it on ? BMW use a programming method. Which brings me to my second question.
I already have a OBDII interface for BMW INPA and was wondering if this would also be compatible with VCDS software.
Another planned project is to add reversing camera to the installed RCD 510 which seems to be a little over complicated by the need for Composite to RGB converter. Any Advice?
Thanks in advance and I'm very happy to be here , hoping to be able to learn enough to contribute to further to this great forum.
Dont know about yours but my 2010 Polo Comfortline hasnt got them Remember the Manual is a worldwide generic version and quite a few things in it are not in AUS cars. Eg turn passenger air bag off for one. Quite few others not fitted either.
In the Polo unless you use the very expensive logo camera a numberplate light one would be too low to be effective. I looked at it but at $600 for the logo camera and $350 For the RDC510 I told my wife to turn her head and be careful
Cant help with the data connector other than to say the guy who worked on mine with a Rosstech used the same cable on both my cars and we couldnt alter much on the Polo anyway as it doesnt have the full function MFD
