hit me up if u have any MK3 Golf tips or pics if your build
Welcome, get yourself a spare set of:
- electric window regulators (the cheap plastic in them tend to fail, the manual ones are pretty much bulletproof with an occasional need for some lubrication)
- various plastic/rubber engine inlet/exhaust and coolant pipework/flanges (they deteriorate)
- instrument cluster (the cluster suffers from cold solder issues and you may end up with the speedo needle giving you the "dance of death")
- the correct radiator coolant, G11 (green coolant) for pre-1997, G12/G13/G13+ (pink/purple coolant) for 1997+, do not mix G11 and G12/G13/G13+ or you will get a gunk forming in your radiator/coolant system
They are a good car, I have had my CL since it rolled out of the Wolfsburg factory and arrived on the boat. Not willing to let it go, another 10 years and I will be able to get historic car club rego for it
