    Newbie Compliance Program

Hi All. Have visited here quite a few times over the past couple of years, so thought I should extract the digit and actually sign up .. so I have.

Currently have an R36 that I picked up new in November 2009 - would love to upgrade to something new, but they haven't made another one ... bugger ..

Previous relevant car was a 2.8 V6 6Spd Bora I picked up in about 2002 (memory going these days) ... I later went overseas for several years and my sister adopted it and when I came back from overseas I found the adoption was permanent .. hence the R36 ....

Previous Cars: Hyundai Tucson V6 (European winter pack - was a great car in the snow and slush in Moscow), VW Bora, Lotus S4S, Turbo Supra (my brother adopted that and still has it), Ford Cortina (she was a classic - red and black with gold Monza alloys from Mullins), Ford Fairlane (even more classic, lime green paint with cream fabric roof - had a fuel leak and caught on fire). Sundry company cars that were very boring but functional.

Learnt to drive in an early model Beetle (made before I was born - which was a long time ago) and 1965 Ford Cortina GT (made just after I was born) and sat my for my drivers licence in a late 70's orange Passat Sedan - had a 6 inch gear stick half way up the centre console and the gears were as tight as a fishes bum - went okay in the test. The Copper said that anyone who turned up for their test in a bright orange VW got bonus points for bravery and must know what they are doing.

Current car specs are: 2009 Passat R36 Variant, Deep Black (pearl effect), 19" Gloss Black wheels (Golf R style), Conti Sport 5's, GruppeM Carbon Fibre Air Intake with K&N pod filter, HPA Gen 2 Haldex Controller, ECU Upgrade, LED interior lighting and number plate lighting upgrade. Runs on Liqui Moly 4200 5W-30 Oil with Ceratec additive and Motul 5.1 Brake Fluid.

About to install new ATE Power Discs at the front and standard ATE rear dics, using Bendix Euro+ pads (thought I would try the pads as I liked ther Ultimate pads) and SS braided brake lines. Waiting for the discs to arrive from Germany next week.
