    Newbe Kiwi. Golf GL Mk 3

    Hi Folks,
    I recently acquired a '94 Mk3 Golf GL, 2l and love it.
    I got it at a fantastic price due to Transmission trouble that most folk are scared of.
    I do not fear such problems as in the past I have cured such issues with a simple DIY transmission service.
    Not so with this baby. Issue being ''slipping in forth gear'' and "not changing into forth when hot" (Also noticed tranny was over-filled)
    I was referred to this site by some who left a comment on VWGolf.net.au.
    The suggestion was that one might be 'noticed more' on this site. Hope so.
    Will post specific questions in 15 minutes after posting this intro.
