    Hi and welcome!

Best to check the Tiguan section. There’s a thread there with discussion on pricing.

That price sounds high given people have negotiated $56-58k for loaded 162TSI R-lines.

Look at the list price and apply a similar discount.

I’d suggest (without looking too hard) that something under $50k should be achievable.

Some people have used brokers with reasonable success.

And some have saved a lot more and enjoyed spending the "commission" cheque on something more useful.

Only suggesting this avenue as some people who don't feel comfortable negotiating have used brokers with some reasonable success - particularly when the broker is given the prices that others have achieved for same spec vehicles.

It's an option and often the broker fee is paid by the dealer not by the buyer.

The first point proves the broker isn't doing their work properly, and the second part proves you can achieve a lower price either way.

It's the same with loan brokers.

Best bet to someone who isn't comfortable with negotiating is shout a few beverages to a friend who is - you'll get a better result.

Anyway, welcome and good luck in your searches new user.
