    New Trader

    Hello everyone,

We're an Adelaide-based workshop that specialises in gearbox and differential modifications and repairs. We'll post up some of our products and services we offer in our trader forum, but to summarise we strengthen standard gears using shot peening and Isotropic Super- Finishing (ISF). We also supply genuine and aftermarket bearing and seal repair kits for a range of VAG vehicles, and are Pfitzner Performance Gearbox dealers and installers. We also of course offer factory standard rebuilds.

Thanks for having us and we look forward to being of any help should you have any drivetrain-related queries or problems.

    Welcome to the forum.

Have you much experience fitting Wavetrak diffs?

Have a look at the sponsors rules too, don't want to seem like an admin Nazi, but someone else will say it if I don't Terms and Conditions for Sponsors and Advertisers

    Cheers

Hey give the guy a break it's his first post!!!!

Welcome and nice to have a sponsor in Adelaide.

We run regular events and you're welcome to come out to any of these.

Perhaps you can tell us all about your DSG expertise on your sponsors area. I'm sure there will be a number of people interested in what you can do here - especially once peoples cars come out from warranty.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Not looking to break any rules and will edit if needed - I did read that T&C sheet but I honestly don't see where I've gone wrong?

Yes I have fitted plenty of gear type LSDs, Wavetrac being amongst the best (along with Quaife). They are a great street unit and transform the way the car performs. What model have you got in mind, Gavin?

Thanks Tigger73, I am actually quite keen to come out to a meet in the future. I don't presently own a VW but am surrounded by them in my family, and have owned a few air-cooled VW in the past. I'll probably ruffle a few feathers in saying that I presently own the "other" Gti - a Peugeot 205... I wonder how that would go down at a VW meet?

Improving the reliability of the DSG from a mechanical standpoint is something we are actively looking into at the moment and will post up as our in-house R&D proceeds. This is partly what prompted us to participate in this forum - to share and gather info around this great technology.

We run a monthly meet - alternating coffee night and cruise. We have the odd "other" Euro come along on our cruises so you're most welcome to tag along.

Talking MK4 GTI 02J and maybe Polos too 02R. I think folk might be interested in others as well.

205 GTI is a proper GTI imo, been in some fast ones in the Uk on trackdays. MI16 engined with ITB, built by a fella from RR in Derby. Not too much stuff missing from stores in that car.

I regularly ship boxes all over Australia. Round trip would be less than $150 I would have thought?
