Hi all,

Just bought a 2009 golf diesel and joined this forum.
Its not my first VW, I had a 1964 bug from 1972 to 1976 that had 3 different engines and 2 different bodies (what the DMT don't know won't hurt them ).
I then moved to a Landcruiser FJ40 bought new in 1976 and sold in 2010 (that's one car for 33+ years). Had a diesel HJ60 for a couple of years and then (when I retired in 2014) got a diesel Range Rover to tow our (huge) caravan.
The Golf is our town car.

I'm good with mechanical things, programming and electronics so I'm often tinkering with my vehicles. I've already upgraded the Golf radio and fitted a reversing camera . . .
