    Looking for tips on buying a mkV gti golf

    Hey guys and girls,

    My name is Aaron and im currently looking into buying a mkV gti golf and just wanted to know some of the things that I should be on the look out for like common issue etc. Any help would be very appreciated.

    Best bet is to buy one 2008 or newer as older ones had issues with most stuff.....VDUB..

    Oh and ill be buying a manual as to avoid the DSG issues.

    I believe the cam follower and dv are some things that need changing

    I believe the 08/09 model year was the crossover point for the full height mfd screen and updated canbus too.
