Hey guys just wanting some tips or advice. I just bought a mk 5 golf and am literally I love with the little gem, however the other night I took it to a freinds place parked it in the driver and when I returned hours later after a large amount of rain had fell I found that the drivers side floor and seat were wet and that every time I turned a corner, water would drip on my feet from just on top of the pedals and it was only on the drivers side so if anybody could please give me some tips then that would be extremely appreciated . Thanks .
Check the drainage holes for the raintray at the back of the engine bay. They can get clogged with leaf litter and when the raintray starts to fill up the water leaks past the wiring grommets and into the passenger compartment.
Happens on a few VW models.
Cheers and welcome to the forum.
