I'm a second time around Gti owner, having had a very early Gti as my works car quite a long time ago. I tried to trade it in on a 2005 Gti but was put off by the long wait so bought a Mazda MX5 instead, a decision I never regretted.

The MX5 got to be a bit long in the tooth and I was having trouble getting in and out of it, so sold it privately to a very enthusiastic young lady and ordered this Gti with DSG and sunroof. I am still trying to work all the technology out and come to terms with the gearbox, but so far I am very impressed. Drives like the MX5 but has back seats as well!

My other drives are a Ford Territory diesel for towing a caravan and a Triumph Stag to throw money at and cry copious tears on when it doesn't move! The Golf is definitely the favourite at the moment.
