The ones in the Superb come with a lever in the boot and they just flip down from underneath. Didn't watch the linked video but if that is what it showed then thats the one. Quite a neat system wish the Octavia did that as well.
Hi, all,
Lurker of the forums for a while, having owned a superb mkII v6 for the last few years, and now looking to trade it on for the new mk III.
Can't find a lot of detail from my local dealer or from the skoda promotional material, so was hoping someone may know about the towbars that are available on the new wagon?
if I dealer ordered - is it removable, how visible when removed, price, factory fitted or dealer fitted?
are there after market options - how do these compare?
Is this what is fitted, if ordered through dealer, on the australian variant? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DNCYG1MR8Q
Cheers,
Moose

What are you planning to tow? There's probably a number of options. The Superb is a great car, but if you are looking to tow stuff (particular heavy stuff) there's probably better options.
thanks, not planning on towing anything more than a box trailer.
Not really getting the car for the explicit reason of towing a load, as I realise the Superb has a pitifully low downball weight. So it's more a convenience to have the towbar for the weekend tip runs etc.
Have also confirmed the Australian Superbs dont get the lever in the boot - it's the same "swan neck" type ball, but you have to manually connect and remove it under/behind the bumper.
