Hi all, obligatory first post from a displaced Brit........ living in Canada.......joining an Aussie forum....

I haven't owned a VW since my first car 25(!) years ago (Mk2 Golf C with a whopping 1272cc engine - awesome car!), and i've had nothing but Subaru's since I moved to Canada 13 years ago, the AWD helps with the 5 months of bloody winter.
However, this is about to change, i've just put down a deposit on a Mk7 Golf R, the only problem is that we are not scheduled to get it until maybe June 2015 We don't even have the GTI PP yet....

In the mean time i'm trying to learn all I can about the Mk7s, Vag-com or whatever it's now called, and anything that can help me get through the next (possibly) 10 months, and this is what's brought me to this forum. I know the wait is going to be worth it, i've read a lot of reviews and am utterly jealous that you guys get to drive this car already.
