    Mk5 Golf TDi 2006 DSG

    Hi,

Purchased my first Golf Mk5 TDi DSG 2006 almost two years ago.

    Just clicked over 82k.

I have joined water-cooled to hopefully get some help and answers on my dsg issues.

Hey saprano welcome to the dub club.
What is wrong with your DSG ? Did you get the DSG oil and filter service done at 60,000Km ?

    Hi JC,

Yes, I have had the service done, also have had the mechatronic unit replaced in January 2016 (Cause: VW misdiagnosed a driveshaft issue so they thought to replace the MT unit) . Since having the mechatronic unit replaced I have noticed when downshifted the gears kick down from 3 to 2 then 1st. You can really feel it through the pedals, also can hear metallic sound during the downshifting. I have taken the car back to VW and had one of the techs come on a test drive, I replicated the problem and he said 'this doesn't feel right', so I left my car there for the day. When I picked up my car that afternoon I was told there is nothing wrong with the gear change and all is normal.
I know for a fact the gears are not downshifting properly because the car was not doing this prior to having the mechatronic unit replaced. I'm not sure what to do? Still covered under VW 2 year warranty. Could it be that the mechatronic unit is not calibrated correctly?

    Thanks for your time.
