Cool New Owner, MK5 Golf GTI pirelli

Hey all just settled on my new (to me) black mk5 golf gti pirelli, few little quirks in need of attention taking it to volkspower, melbourne for a full shake down ASAP.

loving it so far, dsg seems A1, engine a little 'raspy' under accel and at a steady speed when rpm up a bit (being held back a gear).

amazing how different the ride is to a "stock" mk5 gti.

this forum has a lot of helpful people on it am glad to have stumbled on it. cheers

You have got to get a tune.

The car is really retuned and is so much quicker after a good tune

with the pirelli you have the advantage of the factory k04, so make use of it! You'll have a lot of fun with the car no doubt

ok so update, after inspecting it I can say for sure it has a few mods, it has a GFB DV+ Diverter valve, i think relocated, right up front of the engine between grille and engine cover, tidy install, looks factory. missed it on several inspections. it also has a tune of some sort and well, a mate that works for VW said its faster than any gti he's ever seen and made comment about the BOV noise, which I had no idea was not stock (never owned a dub before)

While this is cool I hope the thing has not been thrashed too much and am having a much more in depth look at everything asap.

edit- and im in love with the interior of these things

The Pirelli has a K04 Diverter Valve relocation, it hasn't been moved. GFB's also don't have a "BOV noise" they recirculate.

Got any pictures of this thing? If it's been serviced by Volkspower they've most likely goaded the owner into getting a Tune, they generally do that. The Pirelli is really easy to get power out of as well due to having a bigger Turbo and stronger internals than the regular GTI.
