Lowering springs for polo 9N 1.9 tdi

    Hey all.

Im new to the forum, but to introduce myself I have a polo 9N 1.9 tdi '06 model.

Anyway, im trying to get some lowering springs for it. I got a quote the other day from Pedders, for 4 Eibach springs (that lowers it by 30mm) at $660.00 just for the springs . . now thats a ****load so i dunno if they were just trying to milk me.. I then found that DPM Performance in the UK you can the exact same springs for $205.00. , just shipping costs about $140.00.

Where do you guys reckon I should get such springs (doesnt have to be Eibach), and what prices should I be paying for a set of 4. By the way im wanting to lower by about 30 - 40mm all round

    Thanks
    Andrew

slammed distribution is run by some forum members here (Lorenz - i think) so they should be able to let you know what is a good buy and where to get them.

You shouldn't pay $600+ for just hte springs though.

H&R's from Orange tuning, I paid around AUD$300, but we bought 3 sets at the time. Springs alone do tend to make the car a bit bouncy at highway speeds, could be even worse on a TDI as I assuming the struts aren't as firm as the gti's and the engine would be marginally heavier. Many of run H&R or Eibach.
