Well for starters you won't find many of those for sale

If it's a DSG model check it had the recall work done. There are more RS cars sold, that version you mention was right when the facelift happened so the lights changed on the front. Seriously hard to find what you are after though. Our 2008 RS will be up for sale soon and it's at 70k, pretty much others that age are nearer to 180k. There is a used car yard near my house that had one that sold in a day. He has another there now, gone in a week. Neither were in as good shape as mine so people must be looking out for them.

Not sure whether the 2009 tdi had a belt of chain, but if it's got a belt and hasn't hit 105,000 Kim's it will need it replaced this yr. cost me around $1200 in November including the water pump.

i work for a dealer on the sunshine coast, and we have one for sale atm, not the best colour, ( light bluey/grey)
its in good overall condition. no panel work or damage on wheels
    interior is nice
its a dsg auto. ive just never owned something euro before, so i want to do as much homework as possible prior to biting the bullit, i can get it for around 12k on the road,
not sure if thats a good price though.

Ah ok, that's a different question then. Does it have the full service history? Is it really a 2009 model, ie does it have the teardrop headlights? Should also have the columbus sat nav unit. The DSG is definitely one to check, can't recall if it has the 7 speed, if so definitely make sure it was fixed under recall.

Ok well that's the gearbox that is the better of the two. Is this the Skoda dealer at maroochy? I saw the first mk3s there when on hols years back. So does it have the angular headlights or the teardrop kind? Being 2008 built it could be the last of the angular. The Diesel engines changed around then as well from PD to common rail from memory. Others here would know.
