Hey guys. I’m new to the place, hopefully someone car give me some advice about the issue I have on my Passat R36.

Just bought this car couple weeks ago. Lovely to drive. However there’s noticeable howling noise from the rear end (more like left rear but can’t be sure). So I went changed 4 new tyres, which reduce the noise a little bit but still there.

It’s not very loud noise. And it goes away when accelerate. It comes up when deceleration and cruise. Noise doesn’t change much when turning the vehicle. So I guess should not be the hub issue.

The car is 82000Km, with great service history and just had service been done by last owner few month ago.

Can anyone give me some idea what could be wrong with it? And where I should start first to identify the issue?
