Lucas you can get a DPF off a low km wreck out of Europe for several hundred, a proper re-bake is going to cost a few hundred, so it's not much more. The MK6 DPF has a FAR better lifespan from my monitoring so far, whereas the MKV is going to clog approx 150k, the MK6 should see 200k plus with luck, and proper driving.
Will only really be a problem to owner #2 generally!
