Joining the group as I have just taken the plunge on a second hand 2012 Skoda Octavia vRS TDI DSG....
Waiting patiently now to take possession of it, hopefully we can pick it up tomorrow arvo.
Looks like plenty of great information here... hopefully in time I can contribute and add to some discussions.

Nope.... its a white wagon.... Apparently sold in Gosford to a Mr Roberts.... Has service book stamped and dated, but other than that I'm a bit in the dark n the background and how it got to Tassie.....

Yeah it's very possible that he moved to Tassie, as the NSW phone number for the guy that is written in the service book is no longer connected.
Have sent the dealer an e-mail in the hope that they have some info, but it's unlikely that they will be able to share much if anything...
Yep, it's in very good condition throughout, no evidence of being tampered with that I could see, so fingers grossed it's a good pickup...
