Hi everyone. I'm Paul and a potential Tiguan 162 R Line purchaser, hence the reason why I joined this forum.

I've previously only owned Holden's (Currently own a 2008 VE Calais V 6 Litre) but are looking at purchasing my first VW.

When you search on the internet there are a lot of bad reviews from the earlier model Tiguans. I was just wondering if i could get honest opinions from Tiguan owners on their reliability and whether you would recommend one. This car will be used as a family car with two children in the back.

Do any of you work on them yourself and do your own maintenance? How do you find it?
