Here because I broke my wifes VW

Hi All
Found this forum in my quest to find help that will redirect my wifes wrath away from me and onto VW...

My wife asked me to update her navigation system - and I have messed it up completely!

I took out the VW SD Card V3 and followed all the instructions to download and update, but I missed the step about backing up the existing card and now the car does not recognise the card at all


Wife has a 2015 Golf Wagon Highline 2.0TDi and she is not happy with me!


I think we have the Discover Pro System


Now nothing I do works in terms of updating the Australian maps and having the car recognise the card....


So I registered here in the hope that someone has a backup of their SD card that they can share with me please? before I have to go and pay huge amounts of money to the local VW dealer!

If you need a SD card with a map loaded on it your system to work, then that is the Discover media, not the Discover Pro. You need to go back and download the correct map data and you should be right.
Look for Golf/from 2015/Discover Media Volkswagen Map Updates

Thank you for the response - I have downloaded them both and neither work!
The discover media just has a maps folder - justunder 6GB but no text file.
The Pro has Mib1 and Mib2 folders and a text file - metainfo2
The V3 original had a Master folder and a text file - that is what I didnt back up.
