    Hello from Norway " Mk3 1.8 (ADZ)"

Hello there guys, actually found this forum during my search for a fix for my hesitating engine.

Let me interduce my 10.000 nok ( 1200 usd ) VW Golf MK3 1.8 GL (ADZ)
The car looks like **** for the moment, just bought it.

So far i have done this.
    Oil filter and oil changed.
    Airfilter
    Coupefilter
    Spark plugs
    O2 sensor
Lamdasensor ( Sensor in the back of the manifold )
    Distrubitor cap and rotor
    Cleaned sensors

    Faults .

-Engine runs good when the car i cold, but as it gets hot its starts to hesitate, and sometimes just cut ut, while im driving.
-Blower not blowing very well, unless i turn of the fans for 10min, then its great.. Untill i enter the highway for 5 minutes, then the heat in the coupe drops pretty fast.
-I dont have Vag-com, but i have a cheap OBD reader , and i have gotten a couple of error codes.
-I did clean the throttle body, and the car was hesetating alot less for a week or so. And then the problem came back after i decided to delete some error codes.

    00282(Throttle position actuator-V60 )
    00516( Closed throttle position switch-F60 )

So can you guys point me in the direction of a solution?

Thanks alot from Norway . Best regards Christian

    G'day mate!

Welcome, great to see another Golf Mk3 1.8

Unfortunately, I am not a mechanic and have not had a similar problem with your engine cutting out.

With your heater issue, what is your engine temperature gauge showing? Could it be your engine thermostat has failed?

    Hi Christian.

You really need to get it on a VAG-com as the problem with the hot running could be almost anything. On my MK3 engined MK2 I found a loose electrical connection on the intake manifold which fixed the problem once I put the plug in properly.

I suggest you unplug and plug back in every connection you see on and around the engine. It might be something as simple as a poor connection which is giving you the problem.

Issue with the blower sounds like a faulty temperature thermostat and your engine isn't getting up to normal operating temperature.

Cheers and welcome to the forum.
