    Hello from North Carolina

Thanks for having me on Watercooled. I picked up my new 2015 Golf R a few weeks ago and have been searching around the internet to get to know the car better. It's a pretty amazing all-rounder, fast and functional. Specs are the same as most all of the USA cars released up to this point, DSG, Navigation and DCC. Color is Limestone Gray. Not sure if I'll be modding the car, maybe some springs and spacers. But it's a daily driver and I'm not looking to make it into a track car. I've got something else for that duty.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading through the board.

    -Tom

Tom; welcome to the antipodes! Nice car - though I'm not sure that parking it so-close to that guy with the huge stick is such a good idea! Man you guys are really big in Carolina- how do you fit in the car?
    cheers
    Don

Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is on-line, in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the expertise of the wider forum! Thank you.

We're not that big, our cars are just really small. Thank for the welcome Don!

Hi Fred, sorry for the late reply. I use my 1992 Carrera 2 as a dual use track/street car. It's mostly stock, but has a few suspension and brake mods to make it enjoyable for a track weekend without it being too punishing for traveling as well.
