welcome to the forum!
it's always cool to have people form OS joining in on our little community
This is such a cool forum, you folks are doing some very cool things and having great discussions about VW's. I just had to join to take part in whats happening here, that is not happening on other forums in Canada or the US.
Good on ya !!!
My interests are in the 1.6 liter Turbo diesels. These engines are in Grumman Olsen Kubvans, of which I have 3, two of them on the road most of the time. You probably don't have any of my vehicles in your country as only 1200 were ever made and made as a test run to prove to congress in the U.S. that "Grumman Olsen" could build a small utility van.
The beauty of these vehicles and yes "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is not only are they VW diesel engines and running gear but full aluminum bodies and frames. These vans will run forever or at least as long as we can get 90's vintage golf/jetta parts, and even then I bet you could put a 2K vintage engine in to it. The running gear might prove to be a challenge.
One day I would like to build a 3 wheel trike with a VW diesel engine and a audi fox transmission all on an aluminum frame ................ ah yes well that's another story.
So keep up the good work happy to have found you folks.
