    Newbie to the VW Family

    Hi all,

Im Tommy and we have recently acquired a 07 Mk5 Jetta Turbo, currently the car is stocks and will probably remain like that for some time.

there are a few things I need to attend to first:

    clean an the intake ports
    replace the upper strut bushings
repair the bad gutter rash on the Vision wheels
and somehow fish out the dead gecko skeleton in our rear tail light

I have always wanted a GTi but could not find one at the right price, when the Jetta popped up it was an offer I could not resist.

i hope to use your guys knowledge to fix and maintain the Jetta to keep it running on an affordable budget.

i was rather blow away with the performance of the thing.

i do have a photo of the thing, but can't figure out how to upload it at this stage.

look forward to getting to know the forum better

    Thanks!!

Overall I am pretty glad we got the Jetta.

nice pics, I am too repainting the engine cover, was thinking the same colour combination as yours..

How hard is it to do the GTi wheel swap? I want flappy pedals!! Or doing the R36 wheel swap?
