I have a MY07 Mk5 GTI with stock wheels/rims, which have been curbed and resulted in the dreaded "gutter rash".
I've seen some other posts with suggestions of repairing rims scratches, based on specialist repairers sanding back and refilling the scratches and painting over them. My questions are this:
(1) Is this a feasible option? If so, can anyone recommend a repairer in Brisbane?
(2) If this won't work and I need to buy new ones, where is the best place to get them?
Gutter rash on cars are inevitable really... if i had my car for 3 years, i wouldn't really care about gutter rash all over the place... if you have alot on your wheels... it kinda means that it will happen after you get them fixed or get new rims.
If it is only an one-off incident... than yes it is a feasible option. just my 2cents.
