Golf VR6 fanatic

Hey all. I'm crazy about Golfs and the VR6 engine and I hope to build a Mk1 VR6 one day. At the moment, I'm looking for a Mk1 so I can transplant a 2litre engine into it. It's proving to be a tough mission because there aren't too many Mk1s for sale.

I'm originally from South Africa so I'm also a fan of the Citi Golf.

Sadly no, I do not and have never owned a VW. Hopefully that'll change in the next year or so. I start full-time work next year so that should help me fund a project car.
