I'm sort of an interloper, organising a trip in June/July 2016 with friends who have just acquired a 2011 LWB Transporter, which has been modified into a camper. Because the hope is to include some interesting out of the way places in our trip, and the friends have not done any 'grey nomadding' with or without the Transporter, I've joined the forum to learn more about the capabilities of their vehicle.

I drive an '09 200 Series Cruiser, towing an Australian OffRoad Quantum, Supa-Camper. I'm looking forward to learning about the capabilities of the Transporter, and I'm looking forward to a test drive in a Touareg, which just might be my next vehicle.
