    Finally able to post

So after setting up two accounts on here, the first one i wasn't sent an email to confirm my account.... after a few weeks of reading and wanting to contribute/ ask questions, i decided to create a new email address and new account. Keen or what lol.

So a bit about myself, i am a fridgie as the name suggests but i have a duel trade, the second being a sparkie... contemplating either a 3rd trade or a cert 4 in mechanical engineering.

As for why i am on here, i am buying either a new tiguan r-line or passat 206 tsi at the start if next year so have been stalking the forum mainly for those two cars. I have a bit of a leg up than most as my brother in law is sales manager at a vw dealer here in sydney so i will get a good price on whatever i pick, lucky we get on well and are riding buddies lol. He has told me he can give me the new tiguan r-line deisel with every option available for about 54k so about 12k less than retail i think. Im guessing that is what he gets them for so that may give you guys something to work off with your own negotiations.

Anyway, thats enough about me here, im keen to get out into the passat b8 and new tiguan sub forums. I will give a blanket thank you to all the members for all the great info. Seems like a great place and community to be apart of.

Oh and before i go, #bringbackdynaudio

Very annoyed we cant get dynaudio in aus, have considered buying an a4 and boycotting vw because of it, i guess the money all goes to the same place if i get an audi though lol

Great to hear you had enough patience to try a second time.

That's an interesting choice between the Passat 206TSI and Tiguan R-line 140TDI(??) - would have thought you'd be comparing to the 162TSI Tig...

Anyway you've got a bit of time to do your research and sounds like you'll get a good deal as long as you play your cards right

    2017 Tiguan Sportline - Tigger73's 162TSI Sportline

    2016 Scirocco R, stage 1, 205kwaw (sold) - Tigger73's Scirocco R Build
    2013 Tiguan 155TSI, stage 1, 144kwaw (sold) - Tigger73's 155TSI Build
    2011 Tiguan 125TSI, Stage 2+, 152kwaw (sold)
    - Tigger73's 125TSI Build

Thanks for the welcome. Sorry, i didn't mean i was looking at the 140tdi, thats just what he said he could give it to me for, im pretty sure he was just giving me the most expensive version for an idea. I will most definitely be choosing between the 162 tsi and the 206 tsi lol.
Working with trucks and commercial vehicles that have a DPF system, i have no intention to buy a passanger vehicle with the same system.

    Cheers
