Current hot hatch owner looking to move to a performance family wagon :D

    Hi guys,

I'm from Sydney and I currently own a HSV VXR coupe with an extensive list of modifications (210kw at the wheels) and looking at having a family in the near future. So the boss has said the VXR has to go in the next few months and we move to a bigger family car (she wants a wagon).

I was looking at a VF SV6 sports wagon as it fitted the "performance family" category she wanted but I was a bit underwhelmed by the lack of options, like no full leather and not many performance mods you can do. Then came across the Skoda Octavia RS Wagon and I fell in love. As I also love modding cars, I was pleased to see that there are huge gains to be made with just a stage 1 tune (APR claiming 60kw increase at the flywheel??)

So pretty much jumping on what alot of people like with my wish list being:

    Skoda Octavia RS Wagon
    Race Blue
Leather (does optioning leather on the RS give you "full" leather and no leather-appointed?)
    19" Black Pack

    Cheers

    Dave

Have you considered a Passat? Same dog, different leg. And you can get full leather!

A Passat is a really nice car but is a size bigger than the Octy MK2 (Golf MKV/VI platform) & half a size bigger than the current MK3 (MQB platform).

Skoda Superb is a slight bump in size from the Passat.

hally83: If you ask the guys in the Octavia section they can tell you what you get for your $$$

I only have mkII RS in Race blue with factory leather. Yup, all leather, even arm rests on the doors. It was a line ball decision at time of purchase for factory anthracite wheels or std silver (no cost option). I went with the silver in the end. Tough call though.

I cant vouch for MK III though.

The wife loves the car as she sees the Passat wagon (r36) as too big. She even prefers driving the RS over the A3.
