Call me Al here. Wish list is the R in a wagon. Go you good Golf things.

    Hi Folks,
    Call me Al here.

We have had the two door 2008 Polo GTi with CAI, APR DumpPipe and Miltec exhaust with Revo tune, dyno says 132 KWATW, so goes well.

But we have outgrown two doors and with aging parents, we are looking obviously to the big brother performance range of Golf MK 7.5 MY18-19.

I don’t think we can wait for the MK8, with its possible teething issues.

Thanks to VW Australiafor just going with Drive Away pricing and Clearance discounts until the 30September 2019, which has to put downward pressure on slightly used Golf MK 7.5MY18-19’s currently for sale.

Wish list is the my19 7.5 R in a wagon. The Grid version has potential and prices are lower as they were a stripper version of the full on R. But I read reports that the Grid version were not popoular with R buyers who wanted all the fruit!

Well need all the help I can get, in the right place for it!

    Go you good Golf things.

    Cheers Al

    Welcome Al

You will love a R, in almost any shape or form. That said, its less edgy and less in your face than a tuned 9N3 Polo Gti. Quite a bit more "grown up" in the experience. I loved my Polo GTI and often think back on it with some regret that I sold it.

    G'day Sharkie,

Thanks for the comments and affirmation of the Golf choice. Looking forward to the Golf.

Exactly how a friend discribed the Polo after his first drive 'Edgy and in your face'.

You have a R with manual. I would go the DSG.

My wife and I dropped into VW at Mt Gravatt around 3.30pm this afternoon and all the sales staff were busy with customers in the showroom. That made for total of four customers. But there was no one else in the yard looking at cars.

We looked around and sat in a Golf and waited to see if a saleman was going to acknowledge us but ignored us even when two salemen came down to where we were.

Sharkie what mods are you doing?
