another newbie

Hi folks
Just registering as a newbie.
I have a 2009 Gti Pirelli and a 2007 Gti, both 4 door, mkvs o' course. Driven by my two youngest sons.
Both have leather and the RNS510 unit. The std unit has sunroof.
I do a bit of maintenance myself but only the simple stuff like oil filters plugs etc.
I did manage to get the VIM mod working on the RNS510s, and also replaced the broken dvd module out of one from a unit in Lithuania of all places. I updated the maps to v7 too (although I think v8 has just been introduced).
I also had to replace the dealer's after market rear park assist system on the std car for a $20 kit from ebay.. works fine but getting the lower bumper piece back on was a PITA.
Am going to put the 9w7 blu tooth module in the std unit ..it had an ego talk unit in that simply doesn't work and apparently never worked.
Anyway that's about 10 lines too much about me.
