Another maybe Skoda owner from SA.

Hi,

I am thinking of replacing my Mondeo XR-5 with a Skoda.

Must haves for me are:

• I like Euro cars
• Active Cruise
• Heated seats (for the wife)
• Decent boot space
• prefer manual
• reasonable power with economy
• Nice engine- the Volvo 5 pot is my benchmark
• good open road cruiser for interstate trips
• sunroof

So the Octava RS is on my short list. Passat is a bit expensive and I am not sure about the look of the current model.

Welcome to the forum.

Depending on your timeframe there is a new Passat due out early next year.

Otherwise Octavia RS is good too if you don't minds wait....

We don't get heated seats in oz anymore. The rs is a great car though. A mate has an xr5 Mondeo and it's a top car. The rs is as good in most places and better in others (like fuel consumption!). Even bigger boot than Mondeo is a bonus
