i found this forum when researching problems I was having with the dealer fitted towbar wiring. I have since found out that the dealers did not tell me about the need for the LED modifier adapter!!! This despite me taking the vehicle back 3 times (with the trailer). I live 100km from the dealer and each time they've had the Passat all day!!

Thats crap..wshop should have been the first thing to look..if trailer had LED's or not.....must be quite a new wshop with new to VW staff... VW have needed the load box for about 3 years now...so do ford and im sure many other manufactures.......if its got "blown bulb monitoring" on the car which 95% now do then you need a load box...VDUB..
