    Accident Repair - Brisbane?

    Hi guys,

New to this and would welcome some advice.
I've had 2 accidents in the last week in my 2012 CW GTD. First to the front bumper ( guy reversed out of driveway and into me) 2nd was a rear ender, guy straight into me at 50km/h.
Can anyone recommend a good quality smash repairer in Brisbane.

If you're on the southside then there's a guy in Coopers Plains at the very end of Rosedale St (drive past the other repairers). He's excellent and only charged me $60 to remove a dent from when I had my Golf, I recommended him to a friend and she had some panel work done there and was impressed. I can't recall the name of the business but you'll see it when you get to the end of the street.

    Thanks for this.

I've had estimates from Shipstone Smash repair over at Windsor, any word on what they are like?

I had a negative experience with Shipstones recently. If ever I needed a panel beater/spray painter, I would go here

    Hadwen's Prestige Collision Repairs

Can I throw in a recommendation for Toowong Smash Repairs. Not a big name like Hadwens or Shipstones but an absolute pleasure to work with. I also had a bad experience with shipstones - seem to be relying on reputation rather than customer service and workmanship - but won't go into that.

Toowong were absolutely fantastic considering I was originally looking for some cheap private work to be done on my VR6. I took it in and Brett Baker (after spending half an hour with me free of charge giving advice) did up a quick and extremely well priced quote on the jobs I wanted done. After sending it in and getting it back a few weeks later, the paintwork was nothing short of faultless. Considering it is now a 15 year old car with ageing black duco and a dodgy respray job, his blokes matched the colour perfectly and if anything, the only difference is the fact that the patch they had to respray on the rear quarter now has a smoother clear coat than the rest of the car...

He was a pleasure to deal with and respected both my car and I which I find is fairly rare when you are 17 in an old mk3 golf. They even gave it a good clean before returning it and clearly took care with the other repairs I had them do.

I understand it is a completely different job to an insurance claim and new panels etc. but the quality workmanship and customer service is indicative, I think, of a good business and someone who takes pride in their service. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend him!

    Yes,.. stay away from Shipstones.

    Just simply terrible workmanship.

Misaligned panels and bumpers and lots of bog!!!!
