No need to apologize for questions mate, that's the purpose of this forum, to help each other with all sorts of questions and problems.

per transporters no apology necessary, thats what the forum is for

My car has sensors and from a quick look it might get in the way of those, I dont know where the rear view camera is so harder to comment on that. If a plug is plugged into the trailer fitting (possibly even a dummy one - but not sure) then the Tigs system will recognise and compensate somewhat for, at least on the OEM fitted tow bar. Jcubed had a light board on his which was plugged in and that worked. The design I have in mind should allow sighting of the brake and indicator lights from 45 degrees either side, which is the standard by which a requirement for additonal lights (or not) is measured, so wont need a light board. Strictly speaking need a light for number plate, but I've also seen lots of bike carriers without them, so probably not essential.

My plan is to finish the towball mounted spare wheel carrier when I nmreturn from overseas and take it for a solid test drive including some driving on rouhger roads. If it passes that well, then I will post here. If not will probably still post as 'this didn't work' info or for suggestions to fix rather than a working solution. I am quietly confident, but proof will be in the pud. I believe transporter was thinking of some solutions as well? Anyway be September for me.
