Do you have Bi-Xenon headlights?
As they get washed when you use your windscreen washers, not every time though, not sure how often.

A minor pet peeve I have come across in the first 5000+km is with the windscreen wipers.
Not everytime, but on occasion when using the wipers to clean the windscreen there is water squirted from the front of the car as well as from the the wiper jets. Well at least I am pretty sure that this is happening.
The peeve is that often I will have a nice clean car but when this happens the bonet gets completely wet and then dirty.
Has anyone else experienced? Or am I imagining it?

Yeah, I do have the Xenons.
If that's the case, how does it clean it? I mean, there's no little wipers on the headlights like there used to be with some of the European cars. I know my parents old Saab used to have this.
They just get a squirt, not sure how effective it is.

It's effective at spraying everything else HAHA.
But thanks for the info.
MY12 155TSI TIGUAN - Comfort Pack, Beige Leather, Sat Nav, Bi-Xenons, 18" New York Alloys, Park Assist 2.
Lights get squirted (one at a time so you don't lose vision at night) every 5th time you wash the windscreen iirc.
You can disable it using VCDS.
