i just got 2009 2.0tsi with 09m gear .
i want to ask: can i tune my tig. ?
i looking for people who got tuned (stage1 .. stage2 , k04) tiguan's with the old gear.

Yes you can tune the engine but not the transmission in these cars. At least I'm not aware of anyone doing a transmission tune on the "old" 6 speed auto.

i know , but i want to make sure that the gearbox will not fail ..
if the engine is too powerful the gearbox can fail ..

Is it manual or 6 speed auto?

There's a few that have tuned both. Limiting factor with the manual is the gearbox ratios.

I believe 09M refers to the tiptronic box. Can't really comment on running it with a tuned engine apart from the fact it is 8 years old now & possibly a little worn? (& therefore vulnerable ?) Have heard it is/was a strong gearbox though! My manual has been running with a tune for 80000 now & still strong. How many k's has your tiguan done?

I have a Tiguan 135,000km with a Superchips tune since...forever. Back when it was like 20,000km I think.

I also have a 2010 Tiptronic 6 speed, APR Stage 2 Tune, APR Downpipe, Wagner Intercooler & Boost pipes. Got my stage 1 tune in 2010 & never had a problem. 87,000km
