With all off these types of things I'd always take a look at the OEM parts available from the dealer and unless there was major cost savings I'd head down the OEM route.

Sometimes when you factor in the cost of freight it doesn't end up too much different price-wise anyway.

Given your location to the seller of these aftermarket weathershields you could go and take a look at them and if you're lucky hold them up against your car to look at fitment. My only comment with them is that they stick on over the top of the chrome trim.

If you take a careful look at the OEM ones they sit flush inside the trim and in that respect they are a cleaner fit:

There is a dealer not too far away from you selling these online as separate front/rear sets:

NEW Genuine Volkswagen Tiguan Weathershield Front Left Right Pair Part 5N0072193 - $106.04
NEW Genuine Volkswagen Weathershields Rear Pair Part 5N0072194 - $70.57

The same dealer is also selling the stainless steel scuff plates and boot lid chrome trim.

If you're going to take a look at/pick up the aftermarket ones then you could also take a look at their cargo liner

Tigger I bought those from Nepean motors , No 3m tape they just spring in you have to bend them to get them to fit, their only held in by the tension.

    Nice one

I'd be worried with the stick on ones coming off and also with them sticking out they may cause a whistle... which you'd only find out once installed. Then you'd only have to go and get the OEM ones and wasted $60.

I've gone down the path of buying non-genuine aftermarket parts and it is hit and miss. I've wasted time/money a couple of times buying trim bits that didn't fit

    Climair deflectors

    weather shields-dsc_2565-jpgweather shields-dsc_2566-jpgc-jpg
I attached these wind deflectors to my 2012 Tiguan Pacific about twelve months ago. I like to drive with the window open and wanted deflectors that would prevent the buffeting noise, provide some weather protection for the mirror controls on top of the door panel and would not damage paint work with clips or glue.
These Climair deflectors were easy to install (took about 5 minutes) as they just press in behind the door rubber. The have stopped the wind buffeting, are unobtrusive and have remained in place even at speeds of 170 plus kph.
They are a quality product and I am very happy with the way they look and perform.

Thanks, gwarra! I might look into a set...

A bit hard to tell from photo, but do they have a smokey/dark tint?

Yes MGV they have a smokey tint and are hardly noticeable on my tinted windows but they do work.
