Not sure if this video of the audi clip being put on the wastegate actuator rod is on the forum.

Looks like the pictures that were shown earlier by Corey are the same guy.

    Here's the video:

Hehe... it's funny that it's LITERALLY a 3 minute job from start to finish (if you have access to a hoist or a proper jack to be under the car)

3 minute job and an hour wait for the turbo to cool down!!

Here is the Technical Bulletin (from VW America) given to dealers for those that don't have it: http://152.66.93.29/audi/download/vw...o%20rattle.pdf

yay! finally got the clip installed

after 4 emails and one mildly intimidating email i finally get a response from the dealer and car received the fix, so VW WA is now authorised to install the clip under warranty

They didnt even bother testing whether my car had the sound or not (well not that i'm aware of anyway)

Clip definitely makes a difference in terms of wastegate rattle, but to be honest you can still hear it rattling away but muted which is better than a kick up the pants

Sorry to bring back an old-ish thread but is this an issue on the 1.4 twinchargers also?

Mine makes this low rpm rattling sound under load as well... 2011 Jetta.

Ha - dealer (when they finally agreed to do it under warranty), reckons it took them half a day because they had to take everything off to get at it

Spoke to my dealer today and they've agreed to get the clip in and fit it.

Since putting on the tune I've noticed when driving in "D" a rattle under accelleration at low RPM (1,500-1,800). Hopefully the clips fixes things as it's pretty annoying.

But then again the alternate solution is run in manual mode and keep it above 2,000 RPM when accelerating.... or maybe a DSG tune.

I wonder if they would just supply me the clip?

I cant be stuffed waiting an hour for something that realistically probably takes 10 minutes.

They would probably wait longer to do mine as well as i have a half hour run up the freeway to do before i get to the dealer
