I went to this yesterday. Did the Advanced Driving Course utilizing the $100 discount.
I must say, it was worth it. Learned a few things about the car's capabilities that I never would've thought to test myself.

The highlight of it all was doing 4 laps around Eastern Creek... 2 in the GTi, 2 in the R.
Definitely worth it and highly recommended.

Yep it was really great...(I have posted comments also in the Meets section NSW)

It was not just a glorified advertising day at all. It was very informative, and the instructors were all great guys! very fun, and very good instruction, all tied up in one.

The laps around the tracks were great too! I got to do two lots of three laps in two different GTI's. One had the sport setting ACC i think, and it really made a difference. Comparing the two back to back was great.

Although it was really wet, it was a great day. Goood bunch of people hosting it, and a good bunch or participants too.

    As Tigger said, totally worthwhile!
Our instructor (there were 10) was a V8 supercar team co-driver & he really urged us to push the cars hard! We had a series of different exercises & in each i got to do things i wouldn't really consider in my own vehicle. Fangin' around the flooded skid-pan as hard as we could on the gas & brakes & there is NO getting these things to lose traction. (hardly )!
    There were only Golfs to choose from, 2 polos, 2 GTD's, 3 R's & 3 GTI's.
So over 4 hours, our 'group' got to do the 5 different 'exercises', each in 2 different cars, then 2 x 2 laps of the circiut in a GTI & an 'R'

    Our test cars:

Great fun! Adrenalin! Wanna do a track day!
